To investigate the effect of emergency nurse triage at chest pain center on treatment in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI).
The study included 79 STEMI patients with the optimization of nursing process after chest pain center established as experimental group, and 159 STEMI patients given the routine nursing care before chest pain center established as control group. Then the effect of treatment among the above two group were analyzed.
There were no significantly differences between the two groups about the age, sex, body mass index (BMI), the major symptoms, risk factors and past medical history (P>0.05). Compared to the control group, the time of the treatment projects completed within 10 minutes was shorten in experimental group (P<0.05), as well as hospitalization time (P<0.01). Meantime, the mortality in experimental group was significantly lower than in control group during hospitalization (P<0.05).
Emergency nurse triage at chest pain center can improve treatment effect on patients with STEMI through shortening the time of treatment projects of STEMI.
