To evaluate the independent predictors associated with 1-year bleeding after implantation of drug-eluting stents(DES).
In the I-LOVE-IT2 trial, a total of 2,737 patients implanted with DES were enrolled. Multivariable COX proportional hazard regression model was used to evaluate independent predictors of bleeding events.
Bleeding complications occurred in 167 of 2,737 patients (6.1%). Multivariable COX proportional hazard regression model analysis showed that female(HR: 1.53, 95%CI:1.12-2.09,P=0.007), previous percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) (HR:1.69,95%CI:1.05-2.74,P=0.032), high body mass index (BMI) (HR:1.06, 95%CI: 1.01-1.11, P=0.020), and perioperative application of anticoagulant drugs (HR:1.59, 95%CI:1.14-2.21,P=0.006)were independent predictors of bleeding events.
Female, previous PCI, BMI and perioperative application of anticoagulant drugs. were significantly associated with bleeding events in patients implanted with drug-eluting stents.
