To investigate the prevalence of hypertension and its influencing factors among centenarians in parts area of Hainan province.
A total of 249 centenarians was sampled by multi-stage and stratified random cluster sampling including 114 males and 135 females. Participants were interviewed household or centralized with questionnaire and received physical examination. The influencing factors were identified by multivariate Logistic regression analysis model.
The prevalence rate of hypertension in centenarians of Hainan province was 70.8%(65.8% in male and 73.5% in female, respectively). Systolic blood pressure was obviously higher in hypertension participants accompanied with wide pulse pressure. There is no significant difference in the different age group in centenarians.
To compared with aged <100 years, The prevalence rate of hypertension of centenarians was relatively higher in Hainan province. The centenarians’ risk factors of hypertension are urban population, female, drinking and smoking.
