To observe the correlation of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome types, blood lipid and Serum uric acid (UA) in coronary heart disease (CHD) with unstable angina pectoris.
We retrospectively investigated the data of TCM syndrome types, blood lipid and serum UA of 411 patients with unstable angina pectoris. The relations among them were analyzed.
The level of high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) in blood stasis syndrome (1.09±0.27mmol/L) was significantly lower than that in the control group (1.20±0.29mmol/L). The differences were statistically significant (P=0.000). HDL-C in Qi deficiency syndrome (1.16±0.29mmol/L) was also lower than that in the control group (1.09±0.26mmol/L). The differences were statistically significant (P=0.017). The normal rate of UA in group of phlegm turbidity syndrome was significantly lower than that in non-phlegm turbidity syndrome group (P=0.032). The normal rate of UA had no statistical differences in group of blood stasis syndrome and non-blood stasis syndrome, as well as in Qi deficiency and non-Qi deficiency syndrome. The correlation analysis between UA and blood lipid showed that UA was positively correlated with the concentration of TG (r=0.275, P=0.000), while negatively correlated with the concentration of HDL-C (r=-0.239, P=0.000).
TCM syndrome types had some relations with HDL-C and UA in pts. There may be relationship between UA and HDL-C, and between UA and TG in CHD with unstable angina pectoris.
