To investigate the clinical value of ECG information prediction of sudden cardiac death(SCD). SCD is a public health problem that severely threatens human health. The early prediction of Sudden cardiac death is very important for prevention and treatment.
SCD is not a single emergency but a result of combined action of various factors. such as abnormal cardiac muscle stroma, abnormal cardiac muscle repolarization, instable electrical activity, and abnormal autonomic nervous function. The article will do a brief overview ECG information to predict sudden cardiac death.
ECG technique can provide more valuable indicators and parameters for SCD. such as Brugada wave, Epsilon wave, Lambda wave, Delta wave, giant T wave inversion(Niagara Waterfall-like T wave),fragmented QRS complexes (fQRS),Ischemic J wave. Long QT Syndrome(LQTS),Short QT Syndrome(SQTS). T peak-tend interval(Tp-e),Tp-e/QT ratio. T wave alternans (TWA),heart rate variability(HRV), Heart Rate Turbulence (HRT), Deceleration capacity of rate (DC) and Heart rate deceleration runs (DRs).
Combined application of multiparameters is likely to be key to improving the predictive accuracy of SCD. However, there are many problems unresolved, which provide full of opportunities and challenges.
